Opening on a fixed date? Check it before you design
Exterior signage misses deadlines because of the permit, not the fabrication. Interior lobby signs usually skip that step entirely. Tell us the date you need to be lit and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.

Four decisions before you order
The first one eliminates halo more often than budget does.
Halo only works if the wall works
The glow lands on the surface behind the letters, so that surface becomes part of the sign. Clean plaster, flat stone and brushed metal all look excellent. Rough brick, busy tile, or a wall with a downpipe running through it means you have spent a lot of money lighting up your building's flaws. This rules out halo more often than budget does.
Standoff distance is a design lever
The letters sit off the wall on standoffs, commonly around 1 to 1.5 inches and sometimes up to 2. Shorter gives a tighter, brighter halo. Longer gives a softer, wider, dimmer one. It also means the sign projects from the wall, so check your landlord projection limit before the distance is fixed on a drawing.
It reads worst at distance
A halo letter is a silhouette floating in a glow, with no lit face to carry across a car park. That is exactly why it looks expensive up close and disappoints from the road. Lobbies, reception walls, clinics and studios are where it belongs. If people need to read your name from a moving car, front-lit is the safer build.
